The Lakers are, unsurprisingly, the betting favorites at +270. They won the title last year behind their dynamic duo of LeBron James and Anthony Davis, and both players will be back in LA this season. They didn’t lose many valuable rotation players from that squad and have added some potential impact veterans in Dennis Schroder, Marc Gasol, and Montrezl Harrell.

NBA betting on every match, with pre-match and live moneyline, spread and totals odds, plus all regular season, playoffs and NBA finals outright betting. On June 19, 2016, the Cleveland Cavaliers came back against all odds and defeated the Golden State Warriors in Game 7 to claim their first ever NBA Title. The 2020-21 NBA Regular Season will begin on Tuesday, Dec. 22 and Win Totals Odds are now available for all 30 teams, including the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers. Vegas Insider provides all the NBA Win Totals Odds for the upcoming season. LeBron James’ streak of seven straight NBA Finals appearances could be coming to an end. Cleveland’s average odds to win the 2018 NBA Championship have grown from +675 on April 12th to +1000 on April 30th across a number of top online betting sites. The Cavs are currently available as short as +1000 and as long as +1750.

The Bucks have the best odds out of any team in the Eastern Conference at +550, and they’ll be looking to get over the hump following two disappointing playoff exits over the past two seasons. They’ve been the best regular-season team in basketball over that time frame, led by back-to-back reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Bucks have the potential to be even better in 2021 after shipping Eric Bledsoe to the Pelicans in exchange for Jrue Holiday.

The Nets will be an interesting team to watch in the Futures market this season. They currently have the third-shortest title odds, but those could change drastically depending on how well Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving play together in the first season. This team also remains one of the leading contenders to acquire James Harden should he successfully force his way out of Houston. There are plenty of questions with this squad, but there’s also plenty of upside.

The Clippers round out the group of contenders at +650. They were the title favorites at the start of last year’s playoffs, and they jumped out to a 3-1 series lead vs. the Nuggets. That said, they were unable to finish the job and ultimately lost to the Nuggets in seven games. They have some chemistry concerns at the moment, but this team is arguably the most talented in the league. The three-man combination of Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, and Marcus Morris outscored teams by roughly 13 points per 100 possessions when on the court last season.

As far as long shots go, the Mavericks stand out at +2200. They were the best offensive team in the league last season, thanks mostly to the play of wunderkind Luka Doncic. He averaged a ridiculous 28.8 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 8.8 assists per game despite being one of the youngest players in the league. He’s the current favorite to win the MVP award on FanDuel Sportsbook at +410, and this team could join the upper echelon if he takes another step forward in 2021.

The Phoenix Suns should be another popular target at +5500. They ended the year on a strong note last season, going a perfect 8-0 in the bubble, and they added Chris Paul to their roster during the offseason. Paul remains one of the most impactful players in the league on a per-minute basis, and the Thunder increased their Net Rating by +13.8 points per 100 possessions with Paul on the court last season. He has the potential to be a difference-maker for the Suns this season.
